La Fabbrica della Pasta di Gragnano Squid Ink Spaghetti, 17.6 oz (500 g), or Spaghetti di Gragnano al Nero di Seppia in Italian, is made in the small town of Gragnano near Naples where pasta has been produced for over 500 years using only quality durum semolina wheat and natural spring water from the Lattari mountains nearby.
The ancient process of crafting this artisanal pasta is still used today for La Fabbrica della Pasta's Squid Ink Spaghetti. Ingredients are extruded through a bronze die and dried on wooden racks.
The rich, briny flavor of squid ink, reminiscent of the sea makes this pasta perfect to serve with seafood. Toss squid ink pasta cooked al-dente with sauteed cherry tomatoes, basil, lemon, red pepper flakes, and shrimp for a delicious traditional dish.
